Do you sell physical Gift Cards?
Yes.
Online gift cards are available only via email and can be purchased through our website.
Physical gift cards are available for purchase directly at the restaurant.
Can I use my Gift Card at the restaurant or online?
Online gift cards can be used to:

Purchase wine directly from the restaurant
Purchase products from our online store
Physical gift cards can be used only for dining at Trattoria Emilia.
How do I redeem my Gift Card?
At the restaurant:
Present your gift card (physical or email version) upon arrival.
The card will apply to the total bill, including tax, shipping, and any transaction fees.
If the total exceeds the card value, the remaining balance can be paid via any of our supported payment methods or another gift card.
Note: Gift cards do not cover additional transaction fees if a remaining balance is due.
Online:
Enter the Gift Card code at checkout.
Gift cards can be used for any online product except purchasing another gift card.
The gift card applies to the entire order total, including tax, shipping, and transaction fees.
If the total exceeds the gift card value, you can pay the remainder using another gift card or supported payment method.
If the order is less than the gift card value, you won’t need to add a payment method — the remaining balance stays available for future use.
The applied and remaining balances are shown at checkout and in your receipt.
Do Gift Cards cover taxes?
Yes. Gift cards apply to the full amount including any applicable taxes.
Is there an expiration date?
Online Gift Cards: No expiry. This is due to limitations of our online platform (Squarespace), which does not allow expiration to be set.
Physical Gift Cards: Valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
This timeframe ensures readability and prevents issues from potential damage over time.
Can I split an order between a Gift Card and a credit card?
Yes. If your order total exceeds your gift card balance, the difference can be paid using a credit card or other accepted payment method.
Can I use more than one Gift Card for an order?
Yes. You may use multiple gift cards for one transaction — both online and in the restaurant.
Can I use less than the total value of my Gift Card?
At the restaurant:
Yes. Only the bill amount will be deducted from the card.
Any remaining balance can be used on your next visit.
Online:
Yes. If your order total is lower than the card balance, the unused amount will remain available for future purchases.
Both the applied and remaining values are visible at checkout and in your confirmation email.
Do sale pricing and discounts apply to purchasing gift cards?
No. Discount codes and sale pricing do not apply when buying a gift card.
However, if you use a gift card to purchase other products, any applicable discounts can be used on those transactions.
What if I lose my Gift Card?
Online Gift Cards:
If lost, we can resend it to you with proof of purchase.

Physical Gift Cards:
Unfortunately, lost or stolen physical gift cards cannot be replaced or reissued.
Important: Trattoria Emilia is not responsible for:
Gift cards that are lost, stolen, or damaged.
Cards used without authorization.
Gift cards sent to an incorrect email address due to customer error.
Undeliverable gift cards due to spam filters, firewalls, or other external issues.
Once a gift card is issued, the risk of loss and title passes to the purchaser or recipient. Please treat your gift card like cash.
Fraudulent Use and Misuse
Trattoria Emilia may:
Refuse to redeem a gift card if fraud or misuse is suspected.
Cancel or deactivate gift cards found to be involved in fraudulent activity or policy violations.
Can I add value to an existing Gift Card?
No. Gift cards are single-use in terms of value. If you wish to add more, you’ll need to purchase a new card.
Can I schedule the email delivery of a Gift Card?
Not at this time.
However, during checkout you can choose the “Email to You” option and forward it manually to the recipient at your preferred time.
Can I exchange a Gift Card for cash?
No. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash, either in full or in part, unless required by law.
Can I get a refund for a Gift Card?
Gift card sales are final.
If you return, partially return, or cancel an order paid with a gift card:
The refund will be reissued to the gift card for the amount originally paid using it.
If a combination of gift card and credit card was used, refunds will be made proportionally to each payment method.
I bought a Gift Card online but didn’t receive it — what now?
Delivery can take up to 1 hour after purchase.
Check your spam, promotions, social, or updates folders.
If the wrong email address was entered, or you still haven’t received it, contact us with your order details.
Please note:
Trattoria Emilia is not responsible for gift cards that are:Undelivered due to spam filters or email blocking
Sent to incorrect addresses provided by the purchaser
Privacy & Data Collection
We collect personal information such as email addresses and payment details to process and deliver your gift card.
By purchasing a gift card, you agree to our handling of this data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell or share your personal data except as required to complete your transaction securely.
